Special Election to fill Vacancy on Chorale Governing Committee.

Elected in May for a 2-year term ending June 2008, Deborah Gitin, an at-large member of the Governing Committee, is relocating to San Francisco.  The Governing Committee has asked the Nominating Committee from the Spring elections (John Wodatch, Jess Chaiken, Sharon Thompson, and Janie O'Connor) to identify candidates for a special election to fill the balance of her term, to be held at rehearsal, Tuesday, December 5.  Anyone interested in serving should contact a member of the Nominating Committee.
 
Key requirements are a schedule that permits regular attendance and between-meeting participation in Governing Committee meetings and discussions and various Chorale activities. The GC meets each month, except December. Meetings are held Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. but the date of the month is not fixed, because of the vagaries of holidays and member travel. Typically, however, the meetings tend to be the 2nd or 3rd Sunday of each month.
