St Olaf's Choir, Feb 4, 2007

Dear Fellow CHCers,
Kathy Wood is sharing this now since she'll still be away for the holidays the first part of January.  The St. Olaf Choir, which has set the standard for a cappella choral singing in this country since it was founded in 1912 by F. Melius Christiansen, will perform a concert at Strathmore Hall on Sunday, February 4 at 3 p.m.  The choir -- comprised entirely of students at St. Olaf College in Minnesota -- frequently tours internationally to critical acclaim; venues have included the White House, the Vatican, the Seoul Olympics Arts Festival, and more.  Some of you may have heard their annual Christmas concert on PBS or NPR.

This concert is part of the choir's 2007 east coast tour.   (It happens to fall on Superbowl Sunday, but the game is in the evening, so football fans can go to the concert and then have a post-concert party to watch the game!)  Tickets are now available and can be purchased at:

(She hopes many of you will be able to make it, along with your music-loving friends.)
