How'd we do at the Messiah Singalong?
Messiah Sing-Along Report.
Thanks to all those who participated in the sing along on December
10. CHC agreed to designate the free will offering entirely to the Capitol Hill Group Ministry's Food Pantry which is operated by Reformation church and
was in great need at that time. Pastor Conrad Braaten informs us that the
sing along produced $786 and was augmented by an additional donation to
Reformation from Thrivent Financial Services, a fraternal Lutheran
insurance organization. In an email message today to Governing
Committee President Marian Connolly, Pastor Braaten wrote "the $1396 figure is a ‘direct’ consequence of the
sing-along effort, and was an incredible gift – supplying a few weeks of support
for the Food Pantry. Thanks again to the Capitol Hill Chorale for their
wonderful sponsorship of this fund-raising event."
