Volunteer opportunity from Higher Achievement
Heard a lot about the work of Higher Achievement? Wish you could get involved? Can't commit 2 hours every week? Here is your chance to make a difference without having to make a weekly commitment.
We are planning a one-day outreach and recruitment push on May 5th. The main task of this day will be to hand out informational flyers at high traffic areas of the city ( i.e. metro stations) about how to enroll a child in Higher Achievement. The day will begin with breakfast at 9:00 and will end with a celebration (yes… more food!) at 3:30.
See below for more information.
If you are interested in helping out, please respond to Karen Berry (kberry@higherachievement.org) so your name can be added to the RSVP list.
Your help is GREATLY appreciated!

ONE-TIME VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: HIGH-VISIBILITY RECRUITMENT DAYSHigher Achievement has the opportunity to recruit more students for its year-round academic
enrichment program than ever before. This program changes the lives of motivated middle school
students, and we need YOUR help to get the word out!
We will prepare you with talking points, t-shirts, and flyers. Every site will have a team captain who
is on Higher Achievement staff to lead the process and answer any tough questions. By contributing
a few hours of your day, you will open doors of opportunity for underserved youth in the DC region.
