Blog postings about the concert

Two items from the Blogosphere. The first is from the Capitol Hil Community Foundation:

The Capitol Hill Chorale has taken a leap of faith and committed to donating half of the proceeds from their June 2nd and 3rd concerts to the CHCF fund. The Chorale will be joined by the highly regarded early music ensembles, Carmina and Illuminare, as well as period instruments  in performing High Renaissance music which was written for two and three choirs (Come find out what a sackbut is and experience early stereophonic sound!). The performances will be Saturday, June 2nd at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 3rd at 4 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church (at 4th Street SE and Independence Avenue); tickets are $20 for general seating, $25 for preferred seating, and children under 12 are free if seated in general seating. The Chorale is an 80-voice ensemble that has been a part of the Capitol Hill community since 1993; they perform works ranging from the classics to popular songs, from folk to jazz.  Supporting the Market with good music right in the neighborhood — it doesn't get any better.

Next from the Save Eastern Market Blog (www.saveeasternmarket.org):

One reminder: this weekend, the Capitol Hill Chorale will be donating half the proceeds from their two concerts to the CHCF fund. The concerts are on June 2nd at 8 PM and on June 3rd at 4 PM, both will be held at the Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church (at 4th Street SE and Independence Avenue), and tickets cost $20 for general seating ($25 for preferred seating, and children under 12 are free).

The CHCF fund is definitely a great organization. I think it's very honorable you guys are taking this leap. The concerts held at the church were a great time. I was there with my family and a few friends. Place was packed and we had a great dinner afterwords. Thanks for putting this on for us.
